About Me

Hi! I’m Jordan

Just some Lost Canadian Guy… Randomly Exploring the World, One Country at a Time!

So my story starts in a small town of around 1,000 people called Legal in Alberta, Canada. Growing up in a small town in a fairly large family, we never really traveled much and, to be honest, I never really had much interest in traveling. I always thought, “I’m gonna work hard at school, go to university, get a good job, buy a nice house, and my life would be set”. I mean, that’s the way I was brought up and that’s how I always assumed life went…Then, in early 2013, soon after graduating from university with a Chemical Engineering degree, something happened that changed my life and completely changed my perspective of life… I took my first couple of trips to Cuba & Thailand, thus initiating my new life goal, to continue exploring the world and to keep discovering everything this incredible world has to offer!

From this moment on, I was hooked! All I wanted to do was explore different parts of the world, experience new cultures, and visit new and exciting places all over the globe. However, as it does for most people, “real life” gets in the way, and I returned to Canada to start my career as a Chemical Engineer…

For around 6 years, I worked away, taking the odd vacation here and there for month long trips. I even took a 6 month unpaid leave from my job where I traveled to over 25 countries, however it seemed like it was never enough. So in 2018, I decided to take the next step and moved to Barcelona, Spain to study my Master’s in Renewable Energy Technologies. After doing this for almost a year, I found this also wasn’t my calling… while I loved the vibrant and exciting culture in Spain, I found that the Masters degree I was studying was not exactly what I was looking for and decided to quit my schooling. This, however, led to me returning to Canada to reset and decide what was next for me. Which leads us today, when I’ve decided to take a shot at travel blogging and sharing some of my incredible experiences with YOU reading this now! I really hope you enjoy following my blog and I look forward to sharing some of my memorable, wild, and sometimes downright dangerous experiences with you! I’ve been told that I’m sort of a social butterfly and can talk for hours on things I’m passionate about, so I’ll leave it at that. Anyways, I really hope you enjoy following my personal travel blog! Please feel free to provide me with feedback on my Contact Me page so that I can improve my site, and I’m always interested in hearing other peoples stories and experiences!

Happy Travels!
