Well, here we are! 252 days (yes, I counted the days) into a global pandemic, and after months of procrastinating and many frustrating days, I’ve decided to jump back on that horse and get start-up something I’ve wanted to do for years, introduce the world to my travel blog! A place where I can share some of my most memorable and exciting experiences, provide followers with some tips & tricks I’ve learned along the way, and hear about some of your incredible (or possibly even terrifying experiences). I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if I’m ready for this, but here goes nothing!

Now, I know what you’re thinking… “C’mon man, we’re in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, why start a travel blog when the world is essentially locked down and international travel is almost impossible. Won’t that just depress the readers knowing that they’re unable to travel?” Well, you’re not wrong, and that is essentially the reason why it’s taken me so long to start writing in the first place.

You see, I actually worked with a website designer that I hired back in March 2020 to finalize this site, and actually brought it online back in April 2020, but as we all know, that was around the exact same time that the world got turned upside down because of Covid-19. So in reality, it was just really bad timing for me. But, after months of asking myself, “When is the right time to launch this idea of mine again”, the answer was simple… NOW!

One of the things I get the most energy from in life is sharing some of my travel experiences with friends, family, or anyone that’ll listen really. Whether it be a breathtaking view, a memorable moment, a newborn friendship, a terrifying experience, or an incredible meal I had, I just absolutely love sharing these moments with others, and in turn, hearing some of their stories.

So as I sit here in cold Alberta, Canada, looking out the window at the foot of snow outside and wishing with all my heart that I was on a tropical beach somewhere, hiking a volcano, scuba diving with some amazing creatures, or getting my adrenaline fix, I’ve decided that it was finally time to get my shit together and start writing.

Who knows, maybe sharing my experiences and learning about your experiences will bring a little light into these uncertain times. I can’t express how excited I am to finally take the leap and start writing this blog! As well, if you have questions as all along the way, I’m an open book, so ask away!
